It is located at Darkoman, Kokompe in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. The school was founded about 15 years by Mrs. Stella Quarmyne, who was a retired educationist. Her purpose was to establish the school to help children in the vicinity to be given the very good education that she as an educationist had given to other children in the instituions that she had headed whilst she was in active service.
The population of the school is between 150 - 200 pupils and there are pre-school classes from nursery to kindergarten, Basic school or primary classes from Basic One to Basic 6 and Junior High School (JHS) classes from the 1st to the 3rd year. The children start school from the age of two through fourteen or fifteen when the child should be finishing the 3rd year of Junior High School (JHS 3) and then they would proceed to the Senior High School (SHS) in another school which could either be privately owned or a publicly owned government institution.
Here is the education facility we are working to complete and improve endlessly
Aside from raising funds to complete the school building, we have some internal goals for the school.
The school requires 20 computers and 3 overhead projectors to form interactive whiteboards for the classroom.
We would like to form a book and computer library faciility for the children to utilise to boost their education.
The cost of the books would be approximately £1,000 and the cost of 20 second-hand computers is £2,000.
